Sentinels Remove Dephh From Their Active Valorant Roster

Quite recently, the Sentinels Valorant Team removed Dephh from the active roster and brought TenZ back to it. TenZ was out of the squad a couple of weeks back due to an injury.

The Sentinels have been making drastic changes to their rosters as nothing seems to be working for them. As a last-ditch effort to qualify for the playoffs they have removed dephh from the roster. TenZ is returning to the roster to replace him. We do not know who will take over the IGL role as of now but we suspect it would be Sacy.

The announcement came from dephh himself on Twitter where he mentioned that he would be leaving the Sentinel’s active roster effective immediately. There are only a couple of matches left for Sentinels. They need to at least win them all to stand a chance to make playoffs.

The next match they play is KRU. Let us break down everything we know about dephh’s exit and then some.

Dephh Exits from The Active Sentinels Valorant Roster; Is It Too Late?

The former Sentinels IGL made a name for himself getting American Underdog team Xset into the international stage in Valorant. However, they fell short. However, this caught Sentinel’s eyes as they put dephh and zekken in their team during the start of the Valorant partnership era.

Currently, the Sentinels team could not perform well since dephh’s strats were lacking, and could not effectively beat the other teams. Plus the teams immediately learned to counter-strat Sentinels due to their name in the esport. That is why, the performance of this team has been poor ever since it was reformed.

They lost their first match against a T2 Team, The Guard, and their current record in the Valorant Americas league is worse than most people predicted. Now that the team has removed dephh, they can focus on strengthening their fire power with Marved and pANcada at the helm. But the question is, is it too late?

It might be considering the current playoffs situation. However, if Sentinels perform well after dephh’s departure, then there might be hope for the LCQ run. We will have to wait and see. However, let us take a look at the active roster going forward.

Active Roster Going Forward

The roster will be centered around TenZ. Marved and pANcada have fragging abilities of their own while zekken is one of the best flex players. Sacy is clutch in almost any initiator he plays and will be instrumental in calling strats. The roster will look like this.

  • Marved (Controller)
  • TenZ (Duelist)
  • Zekken (flex/duelist)
  • pANcada (Sentinel)
  • Sacy (Initiator)
  • Kaplan (Coach)

Kaplan as a coach also has been a little underwhelming but hopefully, everything improves now that these changes look a little concrete.

The Sentinel’s State in VCT Americas

The Sentinels look weak in the execution of their strategy. The only shining star in the team so far is zekken and pANcada. The Marved magic lasted for a match. At this pace, the Sentinels will only make it to the LCQ. However, fans are still hopeful.

The Sentinels have only won two of the seven matches in the league. Their only two wins were against 100T and MIBR.

We do not know if Sentinels will qualify for the playoffs at this stage. The stars will really have to align for the team going forward. However, if they were to take it step by step, the next one is KRU. Click here to check out the details for that match-up.
