Recently, this streaming star was surprised to discover her shared ancestry with fellow streamer Emily ‘Emiru’ Schunk.
Emiru needs no introduction, as she has become a well-known name in the streaming community. She is a successful streamer with over 1.3 million followers on Twitch and co-owns the media organization called One True King (OTK). However, the 25-year-old is also famous for her incredible talent as a cosplayer.
Emiru’s mind-blowing cosplays even grabbed Valkyrae’s attention. They both collaborated many times, playing video games together on streams. But Valkyrae always hoped to cosplay with her. It finally happened as Emiru recently featured on Rae’s livestream where they cosplayed together. But this stream also led to the surprising discovery of Valkyrae’s relationship with Emiru.
Valkyrae and Emiru are cousins
Valkyrae and Emiru recently collaborated on a live stream, where they cosplayed with fellow streamers like kkatamina, Fuslie, Sykkuno, and Tinakitten. After cosplaying, they all played Valorant together, where other streamers like Corpse Husaband and Blaustoise joined them.
But the stream’s highlight was when Emiru discovered she shares German ancestry with Valkyrae. It came as a shock to both, but they accepted this fact and even joked about how they were like cousins. Valkyrae was excited when she discovered this and kept telling her audience about their relationship.
“It’s really exciting, we are related. We are like cousins kind of.”
Everyone on the stream was excited about this unique discovery. But Emiru was amazed to discover Rae’s father is also German. She previously thought the “YouTube Queen” was of Italian-Filipina descent. It happened because Rae was jokingly admitted in a previous stream that she is half-Italian.
Rae was surprised to see her nomination clip for the Streamy Awards
Sharing ancestry with Emiru wasn’t the only surprise the “YouTube Queen” experienced in the past few days. She was also in shock after seeing her nomination clip for the Streamy Awards. The clip featured a weird moment from one of her streams where she was talking about getting hit on by younger men.
The 31-year-old was extremely disappointed to see such a weird clip being used to present her nomination for a prestigious award. She then asked for the person responsible for creating this nomination clip, as she wanted to know the reasons for selecting such an embarrassing clip.
