Suresh Raina who is also known as Mr. IPL injured himself during the second match of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) of the ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL). Raina suffered a calf-injury during the game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

However, the injury didn’t look a major one as Raina ruled out for 10 days or so. Raina had played 134 games for CSK and never missed a single game for the team since the inception of the tournament in 2008.

His record of playing every game for a franchise came to an end when he couldn’t participate in the game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). He is likely to miss the next game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on 20th April.

The left-handed batsman was also the highest run-getter of IPL history but Virat Kohli surpassed him during the game between Royal Challenger Banglore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on 17th April. Raina is expected to make the comeback against Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Raina has played a couple of matches in IPL this season but hasn’t been good with bat. In the season opener against MI, he pulled a short-pitched delivery into the hands of Krunal Pandya. In the second game against KKR, he tweaked his calf during an over by Sunil Narine. He was provided with medical attention by the physiotherapist. He continued to bat but soon got out by playing a false shot.

Most recently Jonty Rhodes took it to the social media Twitter and inquired about Raina’s condition. He replied by saying that he would be available for the training from now. Recently, he also posted a pic on Instagram in which he was seen traveling with his teammates in the team bus.
