Will Hakim Ziyech Leave Chelsea? The player is struggling to feature for Chelsea under Tuchel
Ever since Hakim Ziyech has made a foray into Chelsea’s setup, the Moroccan player has failed to nail down on a spot at the club.
Although he impressed for a short time under Frank Lampard, persistent injuries saw Ziyech being largely left on the periphery of Chelsea’s squad. And a change of the man at the helm has seen Ziyech being completely shut out for Chelsea’s modus operandi.
With the right attacking player failing to get any substantial minutes under Thomas Tuchel, reports have been rife across the last week of Ziyech wanting an exit from the club. The player has been constantly linked to both Juventus and AC Milan with outlets stating Ziyech is keen to switch to greener pastures.
Ziyech’s Rumours Rubbished
However, all such reports have finally been quashed. Fabrizio Romano has opened up on the player, saying: “There is absolutely nothing from Juventus and AC Milan for Ziyech.”
Ziyech meanwhile had shared a picture of him playing the PlayStation 5 on Instagram after being spurned by Tuchel once more.
“Nuketownnnnnnn,” Ziyech wrote on Instagram.
“For me, it’s clear he needs to adapt to this kind of football, this kind of league. He’s come from a strong Ajax squad but they were the benchmark in the league. And it’s not the same intensity and it’s not the same competition as it is here.
“But he’s adapting, and he has the certain quality to decide matches and the certain quality to do the unexpected, which can give us an extra twist in any game and on any level,” Tuchel had meanwhile said when inquired about the player.
Ziyech has last featured for Chelsea in the FA Cup. The player was deployed in the side’s fifth round showdown with Barnsley, a match where he was lacklustre to see Tuchel decide to refrain from using his services in the club’s 2-0 triumph against Newcastle United.
