This article will look at the top 5 AAA Games of 2022, which include award winners like Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarok.

2022 was a year of innovation and new stories. Some games were a miss, but some surprised critics and fans alike. We will look at those titles that influenced, garnered love and attention, and made it necessary for people to play them at least once. Note: We will not include remasters, so Uncharted, Legacy of Thieves, and Spiderman Games are out of the picture. (Sorry, Spidey)

#5 – The Callisto Protocol

The Callisto Protocol is a unique title developed by the studio that made Dead Space. It is a third-person survival horror title with aliens set in a prison. What else could you want? Even though it received 7/10s everywhere, it is one of the best titles of 2022 due to the star power of Josh Duhamel and Karen Fukuhara.

#4 – Ghostwire Tokyo

This one is new, ladies and gentlemen. It is set in the modern world, but instead of technology, you will use spells and other magical abilities to kill your enemies. Consider this the Demon Slayer of AAA titles; not a bad comparison if you are an Anime fan.

#3 – Horizon: Forbidden West

Ah yes! The Horizon series has many fans, which is why it deserves the top three spot in this list. The graphics are beautiful, the open world is refreshing, and Aloy is as gorgeous as ever. This game continues from the previous Horizon game and does not miss the mark of its epicness.

#2 – God of War Ragnarok

You know the top pick is the best game when God of War comes at #2. Although, God of War Ragnarok is a masterpiece and a perfect culmination of Kratos’s Norse expedition. In this title, Kratos and Atreus learn to love themselves, each other, and their comrades. The Boss battles are epic, the characters are grounded and have true motives, but most importantly, they feel human even though they are Gods.

#1 – Elden Ring

We all knew who had the top spot for this one. Elden Ring made its way into everyone’s PC without a second thought. Epic gameplay, huge landscapes, and a better narrative made this game win the Game of the Year Award. Players keep buying this game, and the updates are rolling out every other month, which suggests this game is not going anywhere.
