Michael Chandler shares information on a potential Conor McGregor fight!
The lightweight gatekeeper has been vying for a contest against former two-weight world champion Conor McGregor. The number five ranked 155lbs contender recently revealed to MMA Junkie that he believes his clash with the ‘Notorious’ one is headed down the right path.
Michael Chandler stated:
“People think it’s going to be the fastest-paced, craziest first round of all-time. I definitely think it will be [Conor McGregor]. The way that Conor McGregor starts fights, the way I start fights – it’s a car crash in the middle of the Octagon. Hopefully at T-Mobile Arena here in Vegas in July. It’s going to be huge, it’s going to be awesome and I believe it’s going to happen. Things are moving in the right direction.”
A prospective battle between Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor could be beneficial to both men, given that the pair are each coming off losses against Dustin Poirier.
Hopefully, the UFC views this as an exhilarating contest and brings the fight to fruition. A title shot could be on the deck for the victor.
