Joe Rogan has complimented Conor McGregor amidst their ongoing clash regarding the latter’s use of steroids on the six-year mark of the Irishman’s iconic knockout of featherweight great, Jose Aldo! Conor McGregor has been out of competition for the past year and a half, courtesy of the substantial fractures sustained to his tibia and fibula. Against former UFC interim lightweight champion, Dustin Poirier.
The 34-year-old has since been strengthening and conditioning his leg, rearing to go once again. During the time off, the former UFC lightweight champion of the world has put on an extensive amount of muscle.
The incredible physique attained in the off-season has raised the eyebrows of a few individuals within the martial arts spectrum, including Joe Rogan.
Rogan was one of the few individuals who publicly stated that the ‘Notorious’ one is consuming performance-enhancing substances. The Irishman took offense to Rogan’s comments and dragged the MMA commentator through the mud in a post on Twitter.
In spite of this Rogan has decided to heap praise on the former featherweight world champion.
Joe Rogan lauds the composure of Conor McGregor!
Six years ago, the Notorious Conor McGregor absolutely dismantled UFC Featherweight champion Jose Aldo in 13 seconds. The UFC pioneer walked calmly and composed, against his adversary and baited him into losing his 10-year winning streak.
Speaking about his immaculate triumph, Joe Rogan had great thoughts to spare about the former two-weight world champion’s display.
On his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan said:
“To be a person that can do that under that kind of pressure, that’s an extraordinary human being, There’s very, very, very few of them that have ever walked the face of the earth that can do that in front of that many people and in that moment which is built up over months and months and months. Really years of taunting him (Jose Aldo), but months and months and months.”
The night will be etched into mixed martial arts history for eternity. A 13-second knockout of the consensus pound-for-pound king. It was mayhem in Vegas!
