“Smack That Blonde Head”: Kevin Holland Claps Back at UFC Rival for Beyonce and Michael Jackson Comparison After Loss to ‘Wonderboy’

UFC Welterweight Kevin Holland has signified that he is a household name within the UFC, for his willingness to engage in a brawl. The American has amassed stalwart patronage for this precise reason.

The former Middleweight contender has made the headlines throughout the year for his antics outside the octagon with Khamzat Chimaev, which was followed by his intention to retire.

Holland, however, made his unprompted return to the octagon this past weekend nevertheless, in an unsuccessful attempt to amass a victory against striking connoisseur Stephen Thompson.

The triumph would have seen Holland slide back into the win column, in light of his first-round loss to Chimaev, two months prior. In the heat of his loss, ‘Trailblazer’ hit back at the former foe, Derek Brunson, who was rejoicing Holland’s defeat.

Kevin Holland claps back at Derek Brunson!

Derek Brunson and Kevin Holland shared the octagon in March of 2021. Brunson emerged victorious with a presiding performance that emphasized and displayed his wrestling. Holland, however, was left unscathed and has been in pursuit of redemption ever since.

With ‘Big Mouth’ losing to ‘Wonderboy’ this past weekend, Brunson was quick to take to social media to state his response to Holland’s loss, implying that the striker sustained the loss due to his need to be better than his opponent.

Brunson tweeted-

“Kevin Holland the type of guy who’d try to out moonwalk Michael Jackson, Kevin Holland the type of guy who’d try to out sing Beyoncé, Kevin Holland the type of guy who’d try to out eat Joey Chestnut, Kevin Holland the type of guy who’d try out kickbox an 50-0 kickboxer.”

Needless to say, Holland didn’t take too kindly to Brunson’s statements and unleashed his fury upon thee.

Holland replied-

“Yes yes and yes. First good tweet you ever made.  Also the type of guy to come back up a weight class and smack that blonde head around. I’d be doing it just for the fans tho….. like always”

Derek Brunson vs Kevin Holland 2?!

As mentioned above, Brunson and Holland collided in March 2021. With Brunson being a wrestler primarily, it should come as no surprise if the Middleweight gatekeeper resorts to the same tactics next time out.

Kevin Holland, on the other hand, will have to enhance his wrestling and takedown defense exponentially if he wishes to have any chance at redemption.

However, given that their current career trajectories are headed in two different directions, it’s unlikely we’ll see the pair engage in another contest anytime soon.
