UFC Fast X

Since its premiere in theatres on May 19, 2023, ‘Fast X’ has been causing quite a stir on the internet. ‘Fast X’ is the tenth installment in the popular Fast and Furious Hollywood franchise. It is one of the most well-known and successful Hollywood film franchises in the world, featuring celebrities such as Vin Diesel, John Cena, The Rock, Jason Statham, and others. However, fans’ reactions to the current ‘Fast X’ have been varied.

Some well-known personalities in the combat sports industry have also weighed in on the film. Sean Strickland, a middleweight champion, is one among them. The 32-year-old stayed open about the movie.

What did UFC star Sean Strickland say about ‘Fast X’?

Sean Strickland is a controversial MMA celebrity. His comments on several contentious topics have received a lot of backlash from the fans. However, the UFC star continues to share his opinions on social media.

Strickland sounded underwhelmed while discussing the film. Despite the fact that ‘Fast X’ had a costly $340 million budget, the middleweight fighters went all out in their mockery of the film. He shared a photo of actress Jordana Brewster with the caption:

“Literally the only reason why the 10 year old version of me watched this retarded movie… Honestly you guys ever j*rk off to this girl?!”

Furthermore, Strickland posted yet another tweet and chastised the franchise along with late actor Paul Walker. He said:

“Who is still watching fast and the furious?!?! Let this die… Also the irony in Paul Walkers death never really hit me till now…….. My god…. lmao! Too fast too furious..”

In addition to Strickland, another UFC bantamweight competitor, Adrain Yanez, expressed dissatisfaction with the movie. Yanez stated on his official Twitter account that the sixth film was the last one he viewed.

Strickland’s UFC career so far

This middleweight fighter is 32 years old and has a professional fighting record of 26 wins and 5 losses. In 2014, he made his UFC debut and had a strong start.

He embarked on an astounding six-fight winning streak between 2018 and 2022, pushing him near to a championship chance. Unfortunately, his ambitions were ruined when he was defeated by Alex Pereira at UFC 276.

To make matters worse, he was defeated again later that year by Jared Cannonier. He did, however, come back and win in January 2023, putting him back on pace for the middleweight crown.

He is currently training for his next bout against Abus Magomedov, which will be the main event of a UFC bout Night in early July. This match is crucial to him since a win would move him one step closer to claiming the crown.

What are your thoughts on Strickland’s UFC career? What do you guys think about his tweet on Fast X?
