Floyd Mayweather Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor, the former UFC lightweight champion, appears to be in good spirits after recovering from a leg injury. ‘The Notorious’ is currently preparing to make his UFC return. Even before his homecoming date is confirmed, McGregor is making bold promises about conquering boxing legends. Later this year, the Irishman will compete inside the cage against fellow lightweight combatant Michael Chandler.

But it appears like McGregor is interested in other genres of combat sports as well and already has a list of opponents he would want to fight. Or is it just his trash-talking antics?

Conor McGregor claims about defeating Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather

‘The Notorious’ recently won a legal battle against the Filipino boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao. McGregor’s Paradigm Sports Management emerged victorious in a two-year-long legal battle. Consequently, the Filipino boxing legend has been ordered to pay over $8 million for a breach of contract.

McGregor wasted no time in mocking Pacquiao, which irked a lot of the latter’s fans. While replying to one of Pacquiao’s fans on Twitter, McGregor criticized one of the greatest professional boxers of all time. And also claimed to ‘blow his head off’ in a bare-knuckle brawl.

McGregor was later seen in Beverly Hills, where he spoke with Inside Fighting. When questioned about a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, ‘The Notorious One’ expressed confidence in changing his boxing style and finishing ‘TBE.’

McGregor said:

“For sure… I had a long time to think about it and analyze it… I would sure look to (finish) him. Would love to go to my old boxing coaches, which I reunited post-fight. I think my style has developed.”

McGregor vs. Mayweather was arguably one of the biggest fights in the history of combat sports. Thus, there is always talk about a rematch between both parties. However, it remains to be seen if this mega-fight really comes to fruition.

Conor McGregor X BKFC: Will it happen?

Conor McGregor recently made headlines when he appeared at the BKFC 41 event and engaged in a face-off with Mike Perry. Adding to the buzz, he sported the BKFC title on his shoulder, leading fans to speculate if the Irish fighter would consider bare-knuckle boxing.

However, it’s important to note that McGregor is currently set to fight Michael Chandler in the UFC later this year, though the fight’s exact date and location are still unknown.

While there are no plans for McGregor to switch to bare-knuckle fighting at the moment, he’s renowned for embracing challenges and may explore this option in the future.

Would you guys like to see McGregor in BKFC? What is your reaction to his claims about defeating Pacquiao and Mayweather?
