Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier 2 Date: When and Where will The UFC 257 Headliner Be Held?

UFC Confirms Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier Rematch Will Headline UFC 257 On January 23. The venue is yet to be decided.

While last week the match that everyone have their eyes set on finally became official after the news broke-out that Conor McGregor has signed the fight agreement, this week UFC has finally pronounced it as official.

On Monday, November 23, 2020, UFC via its verified Twitter handle gave the confirmation mark to the rematch and with it also revealed that it is going to headline the event.

Conor McGregor Vs. Dustin Poirier 2 Official!

Conor McGregor kicked off the Pay-Per-View scene of 2020, and is now set to do the same for 2021 as well. At UFC 246 the Notorious one fought Cowboy Cerrone, and after a tumultuous year will make his return exactly 10 ppvs later at UFC 257.

Unlike last time, on this occasion he will step inside to solidify his contention for the Lightweight belt, however, a formidable challenge would await in the form of Dustin Poirier, who is ranked No.2 in the division.

Although the match is going to be a sell-out but it can exceed all the limits owing to the stature the two men hold in the MMA circuit. Thus, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if UFC 257 goes on to break the all time buyout record of UFC 229.

Who will be the favourite? Considering they have met in the ring before in 2014, where the Mystic man inflicted a TKO victory (Round 1), McGregor might get the favorite’s tag. However, so much has changed since their last meeting and also during the time Dustin Poirier has risen in the ranks so become one of the finest MMA professionals in the world. Therefore, it is certainly going to be a closely contested match.
