Dana White confirms Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz will compete against each other for the Light Heavyweight Championship at UFC 253. The announcement came a day after Jon Jones vacated the title.

Dana White in the post contender series’ episode press address confirmed that Dominick Reyes and Jan Blachowicz will square off for the vacant Light Heavyweight Title at UFC 253, which is scheduled to take place on September 26. Both Reyes and Blachowicz were already in contention to become the top contenders and their match was already in works. While the winner of this match might had given the No.1 contender for the title in the first place, now it will render the ultimate winner of the gold, since Jon Jones in a Twitter drama relinquished his more than 2-year-old reign on August 17, to perhaps make a move to the Heavyweight division.

Dominick Reyes Vs. Jan Blachowicz: For The Vacant Light Heavyweight Title

The fight would be an exhilarating affair, as both the fighters are even on papers in terms of attributes. Jan Blachowicz, 37 is more experienced and has a record of 26-8, whereas Dominick Reyes, 30 is much younger and is 12-1 in MMA, and this would incessantly become his second attempt at the title.

The match would most probably become the co-main event of UFC 253. The main event of the night is the bout between Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa, for the Middleweight championship.

So, with two titles already on line and several fights yet to be made, the event will surely render some thrills and chills.
