Deiveson Figueiredo Vs. Henry Cejudo: Is this a fight for the future?

Deiveson Figueiredo is the face of the Flyweight division right now, but what chances he would possess if he goes on to face Henry Cejudo in future?

With his quick submission victory at UFC 255 Deiveson Figueiredo is the champion to beat right now. While it is a subject of consumption that after his last few excursions in the Octagon he has apparently become an invincible figure in the Flyweight division, but would he be the one to take his stature to an unattainable feat, is a matter of discussion.

After headlining UFC 255, Figueiredo is now on course to defend his title again at UFC 256. On account of the postponement of the previously targeted main event, it is now Deiveson Figueiredo Vs. Brandon Moreno which in all probability is the cover fight of the upcoming Pay-Per-View.

With the aforementioned update Deus Da Guerra is set to feature in the list of rare champions who showed up to defend their title at back-to-back pay-per-views, and though it reflects confidence and determination from his end, but on a completely different note, is there a bigger challenge awaiting for him?

Deiveson Figueiredo Vs. Henry Cejudo: Is This The Match To Make Right Now?

Though Brandon Moreno is a formidable contender, one who is the current No.1 in the division and him Vs. Figueiredo is going to be a closely contested match, however, if the Brazilian gets past him as well then a thumping question would begin to emerge-who’s next?

If Figueiredo retains again then the former Bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt would emerge as the frontrunner to face him. The two were the initial protagonists of the headliner of UFC 255, but an injury forced Garbrandt out. While this bout would make the most sense, but the fight business is full of uncertainties. Therefore, what if this fight goes on hold, and sets the base for the comeback of not just the former Bantamweight but also the former Flyweight champion Henry Cejudo.

Triple C is out retired but more often than not hints a return via his Twitter handle. Moreover, has expressed his desire to fight again, but only labels Alexander Volkanovski as the ultimate challenge. But Again seeing Figueiredo thrive with the gold that he relinquished 9 months ago, Cejudo may gear up to fight Deiveson Figueiredo, and keeping in consideration the latest announcement regarding Israel Adesanya and Jan Blachowicz, UFC may take the stride to persuade Cejudo to set up one of the most intriguing fights of the 125-pound division- Deiveson Figueiredo Vs. Henry Cejudo.

However, it is just a conjecture and nobody knows what the future holds, but if there is any possibility for its happening then UFC 256 is the event that can lay the foundation.
