UFC News: Geoff Neal is Off From The August 29 Event. Robbie Lawler is Brought in as a Substitute
Geoff Neal who was expected to fight Neil Magny on August 29, won’t compete on the night following a health scare. Robbie Lawler has reportedly taken his place at the Welterweight bout.
Geoff Neal on Sunday, August 9 informed his severe situation via. a Instagram post. Neal explained in a rather distraught state, how things were going so well for him, and then changed dramatically. The 29-year-old has spent the last few weeks in hospital, and has come out from ICU, possibly evading a death scare.
Geoff Neal has an impressive 13-2 record to his name. He last entered the Octagon in December of last year, where he emerged victorious over Mike Perry. He hasn’t fought since then, and with this Instagram post, things do not look encouraging for him at the moment, to get back in the ring.
Neil’s inability to compete has brought Robbie Lawler in the picture, who will now take his place on August 29.
