'I think that choir boy just got knocked out like two fights ago': Colby Covington Reacts To Stephen Thompson's Call-out Of Jorge Masvidal

Known for creating chaos both inside and outside the ring, Colby Covington makes his presence felt presumably for one last time in 2020.

Colby Covington, the current Welterweight No.1, is pushing hard for a match with his friend turned foe Jorge Masvidal. While he is also one of the frontrunners for the title shot but, carries the opinion that a fight against Masvidal makes more sense now than ever.

Ever since he defeated former Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in September, Covington has been obstinate with his demand to compete against Gamebred next. He, on the same, claims that he was contacted by UFC officials regarding the fight and he gave his verbal consent straightaway. But, since it is not a unilateral subject, therefore, asserts that Jorge is not on board with the fight.

Colby Covington in his recent interaction with the hosts of Submission Radio was asked about the latest status of the fight and was also offered to give his view on Stephen Thompson’s callout of Jorge Masvidal, which is been tagged as NMF Vs. BMF.

Colby Covington Hits Out at Jorge Masvidal

Covington conveys, he is looking forward to compete 3 to 4 times in 2021, and wants to get done with Masvidal, before approaching the titleholder. Thus, after apparently witnessing an evasion from the other end, while being completely up for the challenge, the 32-year-old hits out at Masvidal.

“The last I heard from is they’re trying to get his side done. They know that’s gonna be a giant task and he’s probably asking for astronomical amounts of money that he’s never gonna get and that he’s not even worth. So, he thinks he’s still gonna get that this Connor payday. It’s just he’s a complete joke. He’s not here to make this division great again. He’s not really here to fight the best he’s just here to get some paychecks and right off in the sunset because that’s nothing more than he is a jobber. The guy’s got double-digit loss. He’s lost every way he’s like lost by upside-down triangles to guys name Toby!

“He lost to a guy named Toby that’s pathetic. I mean the guy’s lost to featherweights, he’s lost to lightweights baboon. He’s lost every possible, that’s what I’m trying to say. So, he shouldn’t feel embarrassed to come get his a** whopped by me. I guess, he thought better. He knows that when I’m done with him he won’t be the same person ever again.”

Colby Covington Reacts To Stephen Thompson’s Call-out

When asked, if Stephen Thompson gets his proposed fight over him, Covington said:

“I’ve never heard of this guy. I think I’ve heard rumblings of some guy named choir boy they call him or something. But I think that choir boy just got knocked out like two fights ago by a lightweight Pettis was like not even a 50-50 fighter. So, you know that guy’s a complete bum. And who did he just fight some water boy was it choir boy versus water boy like no one even knows who he was.

“If that’s the fight that that street Judas looks for then the fans will know the truth that he ducked me and he ran like a coward.”

Colby Covington Vs. Jorge Masvidal: A Much Anticipated Fight

“I’ve said everything in the book to him called him out on everything. I insulted his manhood his man card, everything and he has nothing to say. And he’s not gonna come and show up in the octagon and do what he’s been telling everybody. Who’s gonna do that he was gonna baptize me and he was gonna do this and that. Just make him look like a complete scrub and a journeyman which is what he is.

“So, if he wants to look for those fights, those fights don’t sell as well as the fight that me and street judas does. That’s that, that’s a serious beef. That’s not manufactured beef that’s guys that wanted genuinely kill each other. And I promise you he’s leaving on a stretcher again just like Woodley did his last fight. “
