Khamzat Chimaev, Kamaru Usman

Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is being slated for a fight against Khamzat Chimaev for a while now. ‘Borz’ was last seen in action in 2022 against Kevin Holland, where he secured a first-round submission victory. On the flip side, Kamaru Usman has not won his last two fights and would be looking to fall back into the winning column upon his return.

He was last seen in action earlier this year against Leon Edwards, where he failed to reclaim his UFC welterweight championship. However, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ believes he will secure a finish if a fight with Chimaev happens.

Kamaru Usman claims he can stop Khamzat Chimaev in a potential fight

Khamzat Chimaev has been on a great run ever since making his debut in the UFC in 2020. Moreover, ‘Borz’ has never been defeated in his MMA career and has a record of 12-0 with 11 finishes.

Despite Chimaev’s impressive record, former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is confident in his abilities to stop ‘Borz’. While a potential bout between the two has not been confirmed by the UFC just yet, both fighters seem to be ready and willing to fight each other inside the octagon.

Speaking about the result of a potential fight against Khamzat Chimaev, Kamaru Usman took to Twitter and said:

“I stop him in 4. Watch the tapes”

That said, it will be interesting to see if a fight between Usman and Chimaev is made in the future or not. Moreover, if it happens, it will surely be one of the best fights of 2023, given their fighting style.

Khamzat Chimaev invited Andrew Tate to his next fight

While an opponent for Khamzat Chimaev’s next fight is yet to be confirmed, it looks like a date has already been set. ‘Borz’ was recently on a FaceTime call with controversial social media celebrity Andrew Tate, where he seemingly leaked the date for his next fight.

Khamzat Chimaev revealed that he will be fighting later this year in October on UFC’s Abu Dhabi card. Interestingly, he also proceeded to invite Andrew Tate and asked him to come to the fight in what would be his first octagon appearance in over a year.

However, the possibility of Tate visiting Abu Dhabi seems unlikely at the moment. Andrew Tate is currently under house arrest and there seems to be no update on how long it would last. As a result, instead of watching Khamzat Chimaev compete in the arena, he might have to watch the fight from his house itself.

What are your thoughts on Chimaev’s invite? What do you guys think about Usman’s tweet?
