Andrew Tate is one of the most popular personalities on the internet. The former professional kickboxer has many haters online because of his controversial statements about women. However, there are still people who support the 36-year-old. ‘Cobra’ was detained in December of last year on alleged charges of money laundering and human trafficking.
However, he was released on 31st March and put on house arrest while the investigation continues. During this time, he also received a lot of support, including from the Taliban.
What did the Taliban say about Andrew Tate
Taliban, an Afghan Islamic extremist organization, has offered a rather strange analogy while comparing the country of Afghanistan and ‘Cobra’. The official Twitter handle of the organization took to the social media platform to suggest that Afghanistan is the Andrew Tate of countries.
It said, “Afghanistan is the Andrew Tate of countries. Straight, Rugged, and Stiff to the point.” It’s safe to say that the Taliban has offered a strange analogy while comparing the whole country of Afghanistan to the controversial social media personality.

Interestingly, the organization seems to be keen on ‘Cobra’ as they have shown their support for the Tate brothers on numerous occasions.
The Taliban even offered Afghanistan citizenship to the Tate brothers when the two were locked up in prison.
However, Andrew and Tristan Tate are yet to respond to the offer made by the Taliban and seem to have no interest in taking up Afghani citizenship as of now.
Is there a connection between Tate and the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan?
Despite the Taliban being quite vocal about their support for the Tate brothers, there is no connection of such between them. However, they do have very similar ideologies, and both of them have criticized Western civilization several times.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Tate converted to Islam last year and has been practicing the religion ever since. Thus, the Taliban might have developed a fondness for the former professional kickboxer and his brother because of that.
That said, it will be interesting to see how the Taliban continues to support Andrew and Tristan Tate and if the two actually agree to get Afghani citizenship. As far as things go for their ongoing investigation, the two are set to remain under house arrest until the next hearing.
What are your thoughts on the Taliban’s support for Tate? What do you guys think about their recent tweet?
