The REDACTED Faction missions are meant to guide players around the newest Warzone 2 Season Three updates for the DMZ Mode. This guide will teach you how to complete those missions in addition to revealing the rewards for each.
Faction missions are some of the most interesting ways to play the DMZ mode in Warzone 2. While there are no set ways to win, there are concise objectives one must follow. Most of those objectives are given to players by one of four factions.
The White Lotus, Legion, Black Mous, and REDACTED are the four factions in the game. This guide will cover all the REDACTED Missions in the game. The faction is so shrouded in mystery that even the name is kept secret. Let us break it down.

How to Complete the REDACTED Faction Missions in Warzone 2 DMZ Mode
The REDACTED faction missions are the ones surrounded by mystery. The identity of the faction is kept so secret that they do not even have a name. There are a total of 35 missions you will have to complete to finish the REDACTED series.
There are five tiers for these faction missions which means that every Tier has seven missions to finish. We will take a look at every mission in these Tiers and see what objective you have to complete to move on to the next. Let us get into it.
REDACTED Tier One Missions
Upgraded Arsenal
This one is simple and straight to the point. To start off, you will have to disappear off the minimap. This mission requires you to find a Workbench and equip a weapon with a suppressor. After that, you will need to kill 9 AQ or Cartel enemies. From there you will need to extract from the deployment with two suppressed weapons.
The reward for this quest is 5000 XP and the Crane Control Room Key.
Dealmaker
Make sure there is adequate space in your backpack for this mission since you will need plenty of it. You will need to fill it with three important items. The items you will need to fill up your backpack with are an Electric Drill, a Gas Can, and a Golden Skull.
Now, take your backpack filled with these items and trade it in for a Secure Backpack at a Buy Station. This mission will reward you with the RAAL MG Contraband Weapon and 5000 more XP.
Cartel Investigation
For this mission, you will need to find the Hafid Port in Al Mazrah and kill five Cartel soldiers after dropping in. After doing that, extract two large Contraband Packages from that Cartel territory. This should complete the mission.
The reward for this mission is 5000 more XP and a Double XP Token.
Well Supplied Soldier
First, you will need to collect a Secure Supplies Contract when you deploy using the green contracts on the map. Once you do, you will need to find three Supply Boxes. The only problem is that you only have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to do so.
The reward for this mission is 5000 XP and a Bryson 800 Contraband Weapon.
Calling Card
It is time to hunt. For this, you will need to scavenge three Calling Cards from the corpse of the victims of the Scavenger. This mission replaces the regular dog tags with Calling Cards. Once you get the three Cards, you will get his location.
Once you do, take him down and this will complete the mission. The reward for this mission is the Sawah Hotel 302 Room Key and 5000 more XP.
Unstoppable Force
This one is simple. There are two trains on Al Mazrah. All you need to do is destroy three vehicles using the train on Al Mazrah. There is a simple way to do this and you do not have to do it in one go. Just park a vehicle in front of it and watch it burst into flames.
Repeat this thrice and it will complete the mission. This mission rewards you with 5000 more XP and the X12 Contraband Weapon.
Zero Tolerance
This is the final Tier One REDACTED mission. You can only complete this if you have finished at least 5 of the other Tier One missions. For this, you will have to go to Hafid Port again and pick up a Tactical Camera on the way. Once you get there, mark the cartel soldier with the camera using the camera menu.
Once you complete this, head on over to the Sattiq Cave Dead Drop. It will have lots of enemies but once you head on over, pick up the cartel recon report and get out of there to complete the mission.
REDACTED Tier Two Missions
In Good Health and Spirits
You will need a Revive Pistol for this mission. You can find it out on the field but you can also Barter for it. For this mission, you will need to down the enemy and revive them using the Revive Pistol. Ensure that you finish the enemy afterward so that it doesn’t come to bite you.
The reward for this mission is 7500 XP and the LM-S Contraband Weapon.
Smoking Gun
Clear out the air traffic control tower which is at Al Mazrah Internation Airport, the City Post Office, and the US Embassy to finish this mission. You will need keys for them, however. Once you clear them out you will be rewarded with the Sattiq Poppy Farmer House Key and 7500 more XP.
Reconnaissance by Fire
For this mission, you will need to do some killing with Kastov 762 Assault Rifle. Equip the Kastov 762 with the DF 105 Reflex Sight and kill seven AQ Cartel Enemies with it. Then repeat the same with VLK 4.0 Optic and the DrexSom Prime-90 Thermal Optic.
Get seven kills with each of these sights on the Kastov. However, the key is to do it in the same deployment. Otherwise, you won’t complete the mission. The reward is the Kastov 762 Contraband combined with 7500 XP.
Dark Water
You will be underwater in this mission so pack your Rebreather. Once you have it, head to E8 on the map to the “eastern-most sunken ship” and locate the ship’s center. You will find the Cartel Warehouse key glowing in blue color, once you do exit the location.
Now you need to make your way to the Cartel Warehouse in Hafid Port and infiltrate it to find the Laptop near the center of the town. Exit out of there and the mission will be complete. Your reward for this mission is the Lost Room 403 Key and 7500 XP.
Flight Risk
For this mission, make your way over to the airport or the cargo train and find some Heavy Chopper Fuel. Once you do, find a Heavy Chopper and refill it. This will take a while so keep watching your six for enemies. Once you do, hop on and fly to the edge of the map to complete the mission.
You will get a Double Weapon XP token along with 7500 XP for completing this mission.
Chaffeur
Start this mission alone. Enter Al Mazrah and pick up a Personal Exfil from a Buy Station nearby. Once you do, you will need to find another player who will exfil with you. When you exfil together, you will finish this mission. However, you must finish this in the same deployment.
The reward for this mission is a TAQ-V Contraband Weapon and 7500 XP.
Left High and Dry
You must complete five of the other missions in this Tier to begin this one. Begin this mission in any DMZ map and obtain a Skeleton Key. Once you have your key, you can exit out and hop onto Al Mazrah. Once there you need to head to the Akhdar Village.
The Sniper Team’s Hideout is the northwest building of the center of the village. Enter the room, find the dossier, and then exfil. This will complete the mission and you will get 15000 XP and the Join Us emblem for your troubles.
REDACTED Tier Three Missions
Friendly Fire
This mission is as simple as it gets. You need to seek out the Pyro Commander and kill him. In addition, you will need to also kill three of his cronies with fire. You will get locations where the Commander could spawn. Check out the locations and infiltrate the one he is in.
The reward for this mission is a Double XP weapon token and 10,000 XP.
Gear Up
For this mission, you will need to gear up active-duty operators. You can throw on a large backpack, a 3-Plate Carrier, a Self-Revive Kit, a Durable Gas Mask, and any killstreak to spec them up. Once you complete this mission, you will be rewarded with the City Hall Hideout Key and 10,000 XP.
Double Cross
Head over to Ashika Island and find the Bombmaker and acquire the Crossbow from him. Of course, you can only get his Crossbow by killing him. Now take the Crossbow and head over to any Dead Drop on the Island and exfil out. This will complete the mission.
You will get 10,000 XP and the Research Center Room Key by completing this mission.
Rain and Hellfire
You will need to climb on board the Heavy Chopper for this one. Once you do, kill 5 enemies from the AQ with launchers from the Heavy Chopper. You will also need to kill one operator or Juggernaut and destroy 2 vehicles.
The reward for completion here is a Contraband TAQ-V along with 10,000 XP.
One Shot, One Kill
This one is going to be a fight so be prepared. Navigate towards one of the trains and then drill its safe. There will be lots of enemies gunning for you so be prepared. Once you drill the safe, pick up the Train Manifest, put it in a secure backpack, and use it on Ashika Island.
Once you get to Ashika Island, find a Buy Station and trade the Train Manifest to get the MCPR-300 Sniper Rifle. This completes the mission. You will get an In The Shadows Emblem in addition to 10,000 more XP for this mission.
Fair Fight
You will need some help from your teammates or more preferably, friends for this one. Once you find an enemy Operator and kill them, loot their weapon and then use it to kill the Scavenger. That is the only way to complete this mission.
The completion of this mission will net you a Double XP Token and 10,000 XP.
Excavation
As usual, you cannot start this one until you have completed at least 5 of the Warzone 2 DMZ Tier 3 Redacted Faction Missions. Firstly you will need to get into Al Mazrah and go south to G3. You will find the Sniper’s note on one of the taller highrises.
Zip up and find a metal stairway, you will a note there. Now head over to the Al Bagra Fortress Dead Drop and pick up the three tracking devices inside. Next, you will need to plant these devices inside the bunker entrances.
The first one is in the Al Mazrah City southeast of the Sniper Nest. You will find a wall with orange spray-painted arrows. Plant the first tracker there. The second one goes to the bunker under the bridge. You can find this bridge southeast of Taraq Village.
The last destination is underneath the train tracks in the center of Rohan Oil. The mission is complete once you plant all three trackers. You will get a Shadow Warrior Operator skin along with 20,000 XP for your troubles.
REDACTED Tier Four Missions
Bedrock
To start off this mission you will need to enter the Underground Koschei Complex and find a way towards the chemical plant. You can get entry into the complex by following the way you did in the Excavation Mission in Tier 3 by entering the Bunkers from that mission.
Once you get in, find the treatment plant. You can do that easily by following the red arrows. It will be behind a giant door and to open it you will need items depending on the bunker you entered from. Once you enter the bunker door and into the plant, you will need to exfil out of the Complex.
However, a regular one won’t work. You will need to exfil using the Koschei Complex Elevators. You will get a Ftac Recon contraband for this mission along with 15,000 XP.
Archeologist
Head to the AQ Oasis Dig Site which is at the most northwestern place on the map. Once there, head to the underground passageway. You will come to know that this is another entrance to the Koschei Complex. The mission will be completed once you enter the complex.
The reward for this mission is an HCR 56 Contraband Weapon and 15,000 XP.
Leaked Documents
Go to the Rohan Oil Bunker Entrance where you will find some schematics. Now, take the schematics into the Building 21 Dead Drop dumpster in the basement and the mission will be completed. You will get a Double XP token in addition to 15,000 XP for this mission.
Tunnel Rats
Now its time for some fun. Get your best weapon loadout and head to Koschei Complex. Once there, kill 10 AQ Soldiers and 10 Cartel soldiers. The reward for this mission is an easy 15,000 XP and a Lockw0od 300 Contraband.
Brothers in Arms
Enter Koschei Complex again and locate towards the Factory Wing. You will need an Admin Key for this, you will find the key in the Chemical Room. There are only two keys per lobby which means if you miss you’re going to have to restart.
Once you get the key, you must find the Rhinoceros and the Sniper and defeat them in the same deployment. Ensure you have a team built for this mission. Once you defeat the bosses you will get 15,000 XP and the L2 Restricted Zone Key.
Abandoned Operator
We are heading into the Chemical Treatment Plant in Koschei Complex for this one. Open the Bunker door and find the Admin Factory Wing and look for an office with the word “Shop” written near it. You will find the Shopkeeper inside and he will give you a list of items.
Find those items and trade two of them with the shopkeeper. This will give you access to his Secure Buy Station. Now, buy something from the Buy Station and the mission is complete. You will get an L2 Restricted Zone Key along with 15,000 XP for this one.
Infrared
This one requires you to complete the other Tier 4 Warzone 2 DMZ REDACTED Faction missions. It will also require some prep. Before you make your way to Koeschei Complex, grab two jumper cables, two car batteries, and an L2 Restricted Access Card.
Now, enter the complex and follow the A1 Markings. By following those, you will enter the External Ops center in which you will find the upload station. Once you interact with the upload station, you shall see the “Security System Reset” option. Now, enter the chemical plant and go right to enter the first passageway that requires power to open.
This is where you will need the jumper cables and the car battery. Use those two things to open the door. This lets you access the Alpha Cluster. Once you do, you will find a whole host of enemies. Clear them out and use the L2 Access Card to open doors.
One of them should be full of lasers and a case. The case has Building 21 Documents. Ensure you do not touch the lasers. Secure the case and exfil alive to complete the mission. You will get a Shadow Crew calling card and 30,000 XP for all of this.
REDACTED Tier Five Missions
Case The Place
We are onto the last stretch of the Warzone 2 DMZ REDACTED faction missions. For this mission, you will need to exfil two weapon cases. The first one could be anywhere on the map but the second one is in Koschei Complex. You will need to repeat the process from the Brothers in Arms mission where you kill the Rhinoceros and Sniper.
Collect the keys that both of them drop and make your way to the locked door of the Chemical Plant. Collect the other case there and exfil out. This will earn you a Pristine Skeleton Key and 20,000 XP.
Chemical Sourcing
This mission takes a lot of time to complete although it is not difficult at all. Go to Koschei Complex and find two Jugs of Sulphuric Acid. Now head over to Al Mazrah and dead drop a Jug of Acid to any Dead Drop Location. Then do the same thing with a Dead Drop Location on Ashika Island as well.
This will complete the mission and give you 20,000 XP and the MCPR-300 Contraband weapon.
Pet Rescue
You should start this mission ins Ashika Island. You are searching for two items, a Cat Statue, and a Dog Bank. Most people found these around the Gym and military installations around the Island inside various containers. Exfil out, you will need to do one more step.
Head over to Al Mazrah and Koschei Complex. Find the same Shopkeeper you found in the Abandoned Operator mission. Trade the two statues you collected. You will get Crown Instructions in return. Exfil with the instructions. You will get a Double XP Token along with 20,000 XP for this mission.
Unrestricted Access
Once again, head on over to the Koschei Complex and clear out the 4 Restricted Zones in the Underground Facility. You will need the L2 Restricted Access Keys collected previously from other missions.
Three zones are near the Alpha Clusters and the fourth one is near the Factory Wing. There will also be the Rhinoceros and the Sniper in the Factory Wing so good luck with that. Make sure you connect the intel from each of the defeated enemies and exfil.
This mission gives you the EBR-14 Contraband and 20,000 XP.
Dry Eyes
Head to the sandstorm in Al Mazrah and kill 10 enemies in it in addition to 2 operators or commanders in Al Mazrah. The mission is pretty straight forward although it will take you a while to complete. With the completion of this mission, you will get a Pristine Skeleton Key and 20,000 XP.
Irradiated Waters
You will need a Geiger Counter for this one. Venture to the Koschei Complex with it and find the counter to find the Nuclear Fuel Rods. These will be hidden all over the place but ensure you do. Once you find every single one of them, exfil out of there and you are done.
The rewards for this mission are a Classified Calling Card and 20,000 XP.
Red Smoke
This might be the most simple quest even though it is the last one. Go to Ashika Island and find the town center dead drop. There will be four dead drops inside, pick them up and exfil. However, ensure that your backpack has enough space because they do not stack together in one spot.
Now, in Al Mazrah, Head over to the Koschei Complex again and make your way to the Chemical Plant. Now you will need to find four of the main bunker doors. Approach a door, a prompt will show up telling you to put a flare on it. Do so. Repeat for the remaining doors and you are done.
