On a night that PSG needed a miracle of sorts, the magician from Madrid stood tall to seemingly end the Parisian’s hope of making it to the quarter final of the UEFA Champions League.
Ronaldo scored an emphatic header, leaping high and heading the ball down and into the goal to effectively end PSG’s Champions League campaign.
Taking a 3-1 lead to Paris, Madrid held the upper hand, especially with Neymar having been ruled out due to a foot injury.
But with Modric and Kroos unfit to start, the Neymar advantage had probably been neutralised.
Both the teams started the game on the front foot, trying to make things happen in the final third, but both sets of attackers were still searching for that final ball to trouble the scorers.
The second half against started on an even keel, but it was Dani Alves lost the ball in midfield to Asensio that the Real Madrid move took shape.
Asensio then started running with Alves, who was trying to keep pace with the young spaniard. Asensio then nutmegged Alves to set Vasquez free on the left wing, who then dinked a ball over the PSG defence, to meet the leaping Ronaldo at the far post, who headed home in brilliant fashion

With Ronaldo’s goal , Madrid are now 4-1 up on aggregate and with an away goal to their name, PSG will now have to score 3 to force extra time, something that seems highly unlikely with just 30 minutes left on the clock,
