In what was expected to be a straight forward match for Manchester United, their Russian opponents have made the match far more interesting that it should have been for Jose’s liking.
After an enterprising start to the game CSKA Moscow took the lead in the first half to stun the Old Traffor crowd. Jose was a grumpy man as he headed into the half time break realizing that his team needed to up the ante in the second half.
And they did just that as first Lukaku and then Rashford turned the match around in about 60 seconds from each other. Pogba provided a sublime ball for Lukaku to poke home while Rashford’s goal was a little bit more pleasing to the eye.
CSKA were caught sleeping after Lukaku’s goal as Mata picked up the ball and played a superb ball to Rashford.
The young Englishman took his time and drilled the ball in to the corner with his left foot to give United the lead.
