WATCH: MS Dhoni bowls leg spin in the nets before the 5th ODI
The Indian wrist spinners have caused havoc in the ongoing ODI series against the Proteas, bamboozling the South African batsmen with their guile and trickery.
The South Africans have been guilty of being over cautious against the spin twins and also of trying to read Kuldeep off the track, a recipe for disaster.
However, all those demons were done away with in the last match when AB de Villiers led from the front in taking the attack to the Indian spinners, pushing them out of their comfort zone.
Klaasen and Miller then dominated them in the middle overs with Phehlukwayo taking them for a ride towards the end.
Kuldeep still hasn’t been found out until now, but the South Africans feel comfortable against Chahal, who doesn’t quite possess the mystery of the Chinaman.
While the spin twins have operated brilliantly in the middle, they have been heavily aided by MS Dhoni’s baritone from behind the stumps, guiding them through different passages of the game.
But MS Dhoni donned the leg spinners role in the net session before the all important 5th ODI, rolling his arm over and bowling some leg spin(maybe to read it a little better in the 5th ODI).

MS Dhoni and co. will be vying for a series win in Port Elizabeth, a ground that has traditionally not favoured the Indians, as they have encountered 4 losses in the 4 ODIs played there, all under different captains. Also, never has the Indian batting unit crossed 200 in those 4 ODIs, posing a great threat Virat Kohli and co.
India would be hoping that Virat Kohli and the wrist spinners can pull them through yet again.
