WATCH : MS Dhoni celebrates after dismissing Pandey in the nets

MS Dhoni has been keeping himself busy these days. When he isn’t practicing his batting or keeping, Dhoni can be seen bowling his medium pacers in the nets.

Dhoni is a deceptively fast bowler, who often surprises batsmen through his pace and bounce. He has a couple of international wickets to his name as well, something that brings a smile to Indian fans all over the world.

With the Indian team preparing for the ODI series against Australia, Dhoni was seen bowling to Manish Pandey in the nets.

Dhoni even managed to dismiss Pandey, something that he celebrated with a little jig.

Head coach Ravi Shastri has been very gracious in his words for Dhoni, as he believes that the legendary player still has a lot to offer the team.

“MS Dhoni is a massive influence on the team. He is a living legend in the dressing room and an ornament to the game. By no means or by any stretch of imagination he is finished or even half finished yet,” Shastri said.

“If anyone thinks so, they are mistaken and they have another one coming. There are in for some surprises. The old dog has plenty to offer.”

“How do you pick players? When they are good, and Dhoni is the best limited-overs’ keeper in the country. Forget his batting stats, what else do you want. Just because he has played for so many years, you are thinking about a replacement?,” he added.

“He is the best in the country. Would you look to replace Sunil Gavaskar when he was 36 years old or Sachin Tendulkar when he was 36? Dhoni is still the best in the business, so what is the need to even entertain those thoughts.”
