Virat Kohli scored a fluent half century as the RCB skipper seemed determined to give his side a vital victory over KKR tonight.

Virat Kohli must be wondering what his team needs to do to finally find a winning formula. Heading into this year’s IPL, RCB were quite confident that they had finally picked a squad with sufficient bowling depth and quality.

The likes of Yadav, Southee, Woakes, Chahal, Sundar and Ali were expected to give RCB the one of the best bowling attacks in the IPL, which is why Kohli was so confident that they would do well this season.

That has not happened though, as RCB have faced their familiar problems this year as well, as the bowlers have let down the team on multiple occasions.

In the absence of AB de Villiers, Kohli took center stage as RCB’s hero held the innings together on a difficult wicket.

This track was not the batting heaven from previous matches at the Chinnaswamy, as the ball held up and turned a little bit for the KKR bowlers.

After a decent start from De Kock and McCullum, Andre Russell struck in quick succession to bring KKR back in the game.

The RCB skipper though held firm, as Kohli unleashed some of his trademark shots to light up the Chinnaswamy.

After one particular six in in the 18th over, Kohli pointed out to someone in the crowd. He made a pretty firm signal to someone in the crowd, though he was a making a point to someone.
