Roger Federer cruised into the second round of the Australian Open, brushing aside Aljaz Bedene is three rather quick steps to power into the second round.
Defending champion, Roger, who is seeded number 2 at the event, glided through his 1st round encounter, dishing out some impeccable and majestic Tennis, much to the delight of the huge crowd at the Rod Laver Arena.
While, the crowd was thankful enough for Federer’s exhibition on court, they were greeted to another entertaining spectacle, when comedian(and actor), Will Ferrell walked out to interview Roger Federer after the game.
And what transpired between the two was something that the onlookers would remember for a long, long time.
“Roger, tonight you seemed like a gazelle out there on the court, would you describe your game as like a silky gazelle?,” Ferrell asked Roger.
“Maybe? Maybe not. A gazelle, don’t they get eaten at the end?” Federer answered to huge applause from the crowd
Ferrell then went onto ask Federer, if he was a vampire or a witch?
“Err… I don’t like those!” said Federer.
Ferrell then asked Federer if the secret to his fitness was “wombat” meat, describing it as delicious and apparently the ‘national food of Australia’
“That is untrue,” Federer laughed. “I have not (tasted it). Should I?”
