The starlet has taken to the Serie A like a fish takes to water ever since making the switch from Chelsea

When Chelsea had decided to let go off Fikayo Tomori back in January, the club’s supporters had erupted in protest at the decision. The wonderkid was widely touted to be the next big player at the club, a CB whose innate ability to control the backline was well documented.

However, it was a decision which was largely taken out of the club’s hands with Tomori persisting on switching to greener pastures. With Frank Lampard completely shutting him out from Chelsea’s gameplan, Tomori had decided it best to move to the Serie A to elevate his career.

And with at the time table toppers AC Milan showing interest in acquiring his services on loan, making the transfer to Italy was an instant decision for Tomori. He’s gone onto repose the faith earmark in him ever since by taking to the league like a fish takes to water.

Sauntering into AC Milan’s playing 11, the Englishman came up with his most notable performance earlier at the weekend. Tomori not only clamped down on Ronaldo in his side’s 3-0 win against Juventus but also ended up scoring for AC Milan on the night.

AC Milan To Bid 25 Million Pounds For Tomori

The Italian side’s first English scorer since David Beckham, Tomori showed why the club was so eager to indulge in his services. And AC Milan’s boss, Stefano Pioli was quick to reaffirm the club’s desire to permanently buy the CB from Chelsea.

Pioli said: “We want to buy Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea. Our intention is clear, and [is] also Fikayo decision. We’ll see what happens at the end of the season.”

According to a string of reports emanating from Italy, AC Milan are eager to shell out 25 million pounds to buy Tomori from Chelsea at the end of the season. It remains to be seen what Chelsea’s stance will be though with Thomas Tuchel set to have different plans when it comes to Tomori.
