The defensive lynchpin N’Golo Kante was the only player who put in a good shift on the otherwise terrible night for the Blues. The ex-Leicester City man covered the entire ground trying to cover the defensive lapses shown by the defenders.
The French midfielder could not do a thing to stop the sensational strike from the Reds midfielder Jordan Henderson. Most of the dirty work for the Blues was done by the midfielder.
The Frenchman was not well supported by his defence and his midfield especially his fellow midfielder Matic.
