Randy Orton discusses most uncomfortable WWE angle he has been a part of. The Viper has been a part of several controversial storylines.

Randy Orton has had a long long career with the WWE with no signs of slowing down. Over the years, he has been involved in some questionable programs and segments. Think when he tied Triple H and kissed Stephanie or the time he brutalised Vince McMahon and John Cena Sr. with the punt kick.

Most fans however, would likely point their fingers towards the feud he had with Rey Mysterio back in 2006. Can’t remember which one? Here’s a refresher:

“Eddie ain’t in heaven, Eddie’s down there, in hell.”

During a recent edition of The Kurt Angle Show, Orton admitted that he wasn’t comfortable with the storyline. Although, he did add that as uneasy as it made him, it helped with the angle between him and Mysterio.

“100% was not comfortable with it. Rey assured me that it’s something Eddie would have wanted, and even still, Rey and myself went to Vickie, and Vickie gave us her blessing. She said the same thing. Eddie would have wanted to help you guys in this manner if he could have used his death in some way to help the business as morbid as that sounds; he would have wanted us to do it , especially with Rey being involved.’”

“So, although it was a horrible tragedy, and we all lost a friend, it was something that helped me along the way in my career. As a bad guy talking about that, that’s heat. It worked and it helped with the angle between me and Rey. But, looking back, it will always be something that was a little, there’s a lot of things I’ve done in my career that made me uncomfortable. I think we can all agree on that. But, that, in particular, was something that I put at the top of that list.”

The Jury is out on whether it really helped Randy’s career or the storyline but the moment will always be one that gets replayed over the years to come; perhaps not in the manner that Randy would have wanted though.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
