Indie Wrestler accuses WWE star of sexual assault. The incident took place back in 2018. However, she was motivated by the #speakingOut movement.
Indie Wrestler Candy Cartwright has taken to Twitter to share a disturbing incident involving Matt Riddle. Inspired by the stories of other women speaking out, she decided to open up on the story surrounding the WWE performer.

She explained that she was in a van with Riddle and 3 other wrestlers back in 2018. When everyone elde had fallen asleep, the former UFC fighter made advances towards her, He did not take kindly to being refused by Cartwright and reportedly grabbed her throat and threatened her.
She eventually relented out of fear, all the while feeling uncomfortable being in the setting. Cartwright did clarify that the two had been together before the incident.
She went on to share her texts with Riddle and more shockingly, his wife Lisa Riddle. Lisa wanted screenshots of Matt Riddle’s chat with Cartwright for reasons rather unclear.
WWE issues statement regarding sexual assault allegations on Matt Riddle
The WWE have released a statement to several media outlets regarding the situation saying, “We take any allegation of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter.”
Riddle was scheduled to debut on WWE SmackDown. With the show pre-taped, it is likely that his debut has already been shot. However, it is possible that the segment may be taken off TV in light of recent events.
