“It’s about owning the room. Which you will never do”: Roman Reigns burns Drew McIntyre on Twitter after the latter’s appearance on WWE SmackDown.

CM Punk once said that common sense dictates your company’s biggest good guy fights the biggest bad guy. In a company full of charismatic and intimidating heels, Roman Reigns is currently at the top of the mountain. Drew McIntyre on the other hand, is an easy choice in a company full to the brim with lackluster faces.

The pair have wrestled at Wrestlemania once before. It was a forgettable match that is best left for a bar quiz. The rematch however, will definitely be of much greater importance. These men, handpicked by Vince McMahon himself, were lost in the middle but now have finally reached their potential and are the biggest names on their respective brands.

McIntyre walked out to the stage on SmackDown this week. The former WWE Champion declared that he would beat Orton and face Reigns at Survivor Series. After the episode, he posted the same on his Twitter.

“Forging a legacy for myself, no family to open doors for me,” he wrote. “First, I beat Randy and reclaim my WWE Title, then I’m coming for you Roman.”

“The whole “family opening the doors” thing is so played out and just an unoriginal excuse,” Reigns responded. “Free lesson for you, Drew.  It’s not about getting in the door; it’s about owning the room.  Which you will never do, While I’m around.  Good luck on Monday at #RAW.”

If McIntyre does win the match against Orton on Monday and face Reigns at Survivor Series, the PPV will surely have much more interest going into it. However, there is one other PPV where this match will fit right in; Wrestlemania!

It is speculated that Reigns will face The Rock at the show of shows. However, if the Pandemic continues until then, which it likely will, there is very little upside for Vince to bring in the Great one. Reigns vs McIntyre could be a brilliant substitute for that match. At this point however, there is very little hint regarding what the WWE plans to do and we will just have to sit and watch.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
