Cody Rhodes responds to fan wishing WWE allows him to use Great American Bash at AEW. The PPV concept was made by Dusty Rhodes, Cody’s father.

Dusty Rhodes came up with several concepts and PPV names during his lifetime. Several of them are still in use today.  The Great American Bash is one example. A fan however, believes that the PPV, which is currently WWE’s intellectual property, should have been handed over to the Rhodes family when they left the promotion.

“Business is business. They have the rights to many of Dusty’s greatest creations. My hope is that they do them justice and I will never be bitter about his legacy being honored and a whole new generation seeing he was a genius w/lasting concepts. “

The Great American Bash is now an NXT special. It is currently taking place at this very moment. Three Championships are on the line tonight. Both sets of the Tag Titles will be defended. The only singles title in action tonight is the Million Dollar Championship.

The NXT Championship was not defended at the show but a segment was announced that eventually led to a Championship match being scheduled for next week.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
