Daniel Bryan drops hints on when the Bella Twins could return to the WWE

Daniel Bryan drops hints on when the Bella Twins could return to the WWE. They sisters are set to be inducted into the 2021 WWE Hall of Fame class.

Brie Bella debuted back in 2009 and fought a series of matches against Victoria and Natalya. She would always roll out of the ring and go under it before returning and beating them. The WWE Universe later learned that the person that emerged out of the ring wasn’t Brie but her twin Nikki.

The Bella Twins then faced Victoria and Natalya in a tag team match. They won and from them on their careers were linked forever. Brie’s last match in the WWE was with her sister and Ronda Rousey against the Riott Squad and Nikki’s was against Rousey less than three weeks later.

They both announced their respective retirements on Total Bellas back in March 2019. However, it seems that the sisters are planning to come out from retirement and could very well make a return to the WWE. Why the change of heart? A run with the Women’s Tag Team titles.

While speaking to talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy, Bryan said that the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles appealed to his wife Brie and her sister. He also provided a timeframe about when to expect them to make their return should they pursue it.

“I don’t think my wife [Brie Bella] would come back until maybe next year or something if she does. I think her and her sister [Nikki Bella] want to do something together. With the whole time they wrestled, there was no Women’s Tag Team Championships. To them, that’s really cool [they now exist]. So yeah, that may happen.”

The Bella Twins are scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2020. The induction should have taken place last year. However, the pandemic prevented that from happening and they will now do so alongside the class of 2020.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
