Jon Moxley opens up on relationship with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. The three debuted together in the WWE as part of The Shield.

Fans today understand why Jon Moxley left the WWE for AEW. They have embraced his new name and persona with open arms and have almost forgotten that he once went by Dean Ambrose. I say almost because, the name will forever be associated with perhaps the greatest WWE stable of the modern era; The Shield.

Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns walked out together in the WWE one night and wrestling would change forever. They would become the most dominant force in the company. All three would go on to win the WWE Championship.

The trio would constantly separate and reunite until one day Ambrose walked out of the WWE, thus bringing an end to the faction. The former AEW Champion recently confessed that the trio do not talk to each other as often as they used to but, they will always be bonded with each other.

“Very occasionally [speak to Reigns and Rollins],” Moxley said on a B/R AMA. “Seth [and Becky Lynch had a] kid, so that’s cool. You just get in this world and you get really busy, especially in a pandemic world, everyone is in their own little bubbles. That’s the good thing about wrestling: it’s never goodbye, it’s just see you along the way. When you go through certain things with people, you’re always bonded.”

Moxley has benefited greatly from a change of environment, He was crowned AEW Champion last year and steered them through the early days of the pandemic when fans were still getting used to events without a live audience.

Elsewhere, Roman and Seth also introduced new personalities in the WWE. While Seth became the Monday Night Messiah, Reigns turned heel and introduced the world to the Tribal Chief.

Archie is a WWE and UFC Editor/Author at the SportsRush. Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
