The report read:

“WWE NXT star Velveteen Dream was released today by the company, according to multiple sources. “

Velveteen Dream, whose real name is Patrick Clark, was discovered by WWE at age 19 as part of the Tough Enough reality show. While he did not win the show, he joined the WWE and went on to become the Prince-inspired Velveteen Dream.

After a series of amazing matches, he was awarded the NXT North American Championship. His reign lasted for a record 231 days before he dropped the title to Roderick Strong. The NXT Championship seemed like the next step. However, his momentum came to a crashing halt after allegations of indecent contact with minors on social media surfaced.

The WWE looked into the situation and claimed that they found no cause for action. However, fans did not let it go and continually voiced their displeasure towards the superstar still being part of the promotion. It seems the fans have now got what they asked for.

However, the WWE are yet to confirm the departure or the reason why.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
