WWE SmackDown 9th July 2019 Preview: Finn Balor vs Shinsuke Nakamura, Tag team championship summit, Aleister Black’s opponent and more

WWE SmackDown 9th July 2019 Preview: Finn Balor vs Shinsuke Nakamura, Tag team championship summit, Aleister Black’s opponent and more announced for this week’s episode of SmackDown live.

While Raw underwent major changes last week, its effects were seen on the following night on SmackDown. With this being the last episode of WWE television, Vince McMahon and Co. will hope to hit the ball out of the park. The WWE have already announced several matches and segments for the upcoming episode of SmackDown Live on their social media.

Finn Balor Vs Shinsuke Nakamura

The WWE teased a match between both of the former NXT champions two weeks back during a Finn Balor backstage interview. Balor, coming off from a win against Andrade at Super ShowDown was interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura. The former United States champion did not utter a word. However, him clicking the Intercontinental title with his fingers was hint enough.

The two will face each other in a non-title bout this Tuesday night. This match will most likely set up an Extreme Rules match between the two this coming Sunday.

Kevin Owens Vs Dolph Ziggler

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. This statement falls flat when it comes to Kevin Owens and Dolph Ziggler. Both of these wrestlers have squared up with WWE Champion Kofi Kingston multiple times since Wrestlemania and have come out short on all occasions. For two people with so much in common, they failed to get along as tag team partners last week and are now set to face each other this Tuesday.

Tag team summit

Last Week, the WWE announced a triple threat match for the SmackDown tag team championships. Daniel Bryan and Erick Rowan will defend their titles against The New Day and Heavy Machinery at Extreme Rules. But before that, the three teams will participate in a tag team summit this Tuesday night.

Aleister Black finally gets an opponent!

Aleister Black debuted on Raw with Ricochet. The two were paired up and embarked on an unbeaten run in the WWE until Wrestlemania. After the conclusion of Show of Shows, Ricochet was drafted to Raw and Black to SmackDown. While Ricochet was tearing the house down at Raw every week, Black locked himself in a room begging for someone to fight him. After weeks of sitting inside that dark room, Black finally has an opponent now.

The WWE have promised to reveal the mystery rival on SmackDown this week. However, if one had to bet their last dollar guessing, the safest name to go with would be, Randy ‘The Viper’ Orton.

The two have squared up in dark matches before after all.

This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
