The Rock gets the flop sweats after Black Adam fails in theatres
DC’s Black Adam surprisingly did not do too well at the box office. Rated 39% by the Tomatometer, Black Adam has reportedly lost around $50M to $100M in its theatrical run.
Although the audience scored the movie 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is proving to be a financial flop. According to a report by Variety, Black Adam is expected to lose $400 million globally.
As per the report, Warner Bros. Discovery believes that the movie’s release on digital platforms may help bump up the numbers.
Despite its failure in theatres, Black Adam amassed success after its VOD release and it is far from being the only movie to have flopped at the box office in 2022 as Disney’s Strange World, Amsterdam, and Lightyear are some of the notable movies on that list.
The Rock’s highest-grossing movie so far
