Could Vince McMahon Make an Appearance at WWE Royal Rumble 2023?
Vince McMahon has returned to the helm of the company he helped become a global phenomenon. However, not everyone is happy with the news. His return has reportedly sparked a sale of the company. It is not confirmed whether it is related or not, but Vince’s comeback has also coincided with Stephanie McMahon stepping down from her position as Co-CEO, resulting in Nick Khan manning that position on his own now. However, that may not be the last piece of surprise awaiting fans.

Xero News recently tweeted about an upcoming imminent big news within the next two weeks. They did not explain the vague tweet any further. He wrote:
“He’s implying WWE will announce Vince to appear at the Rumble by the way. Again, no indication its happening, but that’s what he means.”

It is not known if this is merely an appearance on the pay per view or as an actual entry in the namesake match, although, the latter is even unlikelier than the first.
WWE reportedly sold to Saudi Arabia’s public fund
According to Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN, Vince McMahon has sold the WWE to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The report further states that the promotion will go back to being private. If true, this will be the first such instance since the company became a publicly traded company in October 1999.

This has come after the WWE patriarch successfully reinstated himself to the board of directors on the back of his position as the controlling shareholder.
He had announced his intention to undertake “strategic alternatives” with the goal to “to maximize value for all WWE shareholders.”
This statement was interpreted as a hint towards a sale, an action that has since reportedly happened, although the WWE is yet to confirm the news.
