For many years throughout the history of TNA, AJ Styles was the front-runner of the company. Styles’ unmatched charisma in the ring made him a legend in the making during his heyday in TNA. His classic feuds with Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe are some of TNA’s best and unforgettable moments. Despite his command over the wrestling business, sadly, AJ Styles remained an underrated talent for many years. However, The Phenomenal One scratched, clawed, and made his way to the top and retrieved the proverbial brass ring.
Styles made his debut in the Stamford-based company in 2016. When he revealed himself as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble, the WWE Universe exploded out of excitement. Since then, AJ Styles has come a long way and achieved a lot in the company.
His stint with WWE so far saw him win the WWE Championship twice. At 45, the Grand Slam Champion still has many years left in wrestling. Recently, a certain WWE Hall of Famer compared AJ Styles’s in-ring abilities with the likes of The Hitman, Bret Hart.
Road Dogg thinks AJ Styles is a better wrestler than Bret Hart
There’s no denying that back in the 90s, Bret Hart was one of the best performers in the business. Hart had a great career in WWF rubbing elbows with the company’s top stars such as The Undertaker, Vader, Shawn Micheals, and many more.
While Hitman has his supporters who place him on the Mount Rushmore of wrestling, former wrestler Brian James thinks otherwise. On an edition of his “Oh… You Didn’t Know?” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg juxtaposed Bret Hart and AJ Styles.
According to him, Styles is a better worker than Hart. RD even stated that he never saw the “big deal” with Bret Hart even during his active years.

“I’m saying he’s a better wrestler. [Styles] has been working very hard ever since he showed up at the [Royal] Rumble. He’s older now and he’s slower now and he wants to work smarter now, but when he first got here and I think he was very much in his prime, the road puts it on you and that life.

Road Dogg further praised AJ Styles for his accolades and years of hard work in the business. Further during the podcast, the Senior Vice President of Live Events even stated that Styles, in his opinion, is better than other talents such as Kenny Omega of AEW. Sadly, AJ Styles was on a long-term losing streak in WWE. However, he was finally able to change things up after he defeated The Judgement Day’s Finn Balor at Survivor Series WarGames.
AJ Styles is seemingly in the know of who his opponent will be at WrestleMania 39
With the 39th edition of WrestleMania fast approaching, it appears as if AJ Styles is aware of who his opponent will be at the grandest stage. On Friday, Styles responded to a fan who asked him for WrestleMania spoilers. Styles is currently leading the O.C. It remains to be seen if he will be involved in a tag team match or a singles contest.
My job is not to find out what I’m doing at WM39. Mine is to prepare for the idea which is presented to me in WM39. https://t.co/EooK5VwhUi
