Triple H Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon was once the kind of boss who desired to be one of the boys. As time passed he became more imposing of his vision on the product until he became a caricature of the character he played on TV. There have been numerous ridiculous stories about him on the internet that appear to be made up and yet have been confirmed to be true. The WWE patriarch has long been termed an intimidating and imposing figure with a habit of changing his mind at a whim. The opposite is true for Triple H with fans and talent dearly calling him Papa H.

With Vince McMahon at the helm of things, the WWE was called a show written for an audience of one. To be fair to Vince, you don’t get to where he is by being terrible at it. He helped take the WWE to the very top unlike any other wrestling promotion before or after, and it took an exceptionally gifted mind to make that happen.

However, to many fans, Vince appears to have lost his touch. He was no longer keeping up with the times and refused to book his current talent at the level of the stars he had when WWE was at its zenith.

Enter Triple H, a much younger booker who was keeping up with what the fans wanted to see. He had his eye on younger talent and future stars, something Vince was stubbornly not doing anymore. Triple H is much too old to be one of the boys with the current batch of WWE superstars, but he has played the role of a caring mentor to perfection.

WWE talents say they feel safer Under Triple H than Vince McMahon

During the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the AEW superstar talked about the difference between the environment Vince McMahon had created and the one Triple H has fostered. Hardy revealed that he had spoken with his former colleagues and while they maintained that much of the company was still the same, they were no longer intimidated and felt relaxed.

He said:

“I mean, they’ve just said you wouldn’t believe how different it is. I said, ‘Different? Like in what capacity?’ They said,’ Well, it’s still the same WWE. You know they want you to work on time. They want you to work hard. It’s still a pretty grueling schedule, so to say. They still do the Wellness tests. All that is the same. The feeling that there is not as much intimidation. You’re not walking on eggshells quite as much. You feel a lot more safe and sound being there currently. It’s just a much more laid-back environment. That’s what I’ve heard overwhelmingly.”

Will Vince McMahon take over from Triple H as the Head of Creative?

Following Vince McMahon’s retirement, Triple H was promoted as the Chief Content Officer. He is now the Creative head of the company and has since made several changes to the programming. Since McMahon’s return, fans have expressed fear that the WWE patriarch will want to establish his control once again. However, Vince has stated that Triple H will continue to function in his current role.

Matt Hardy has a hard time believing the WWE Executive Chairman, though. He is of the opinion that Vince will slowly leave his print on the weekly programming until he has absolute control over the product once again.

“I feel like even if Vince is being sincere about that, he won’t be able to control himself like that. If he is back, he is going to put his fingerprints on things,” Matt Hardy said. “As time would go on, you would see a little more, and a little more, and a little more, and a little more, until he got back to where he felt like he was controlling the helm of the ship.”

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
