After captivating the NXT fans with an year of rollicking performances, Nakamura has made Smackdown Live his playground. He is all set to challenge WWE champion Jinder Mahal at No Mercy. Here are 5 things you did not know about Shinsuke Nakamura!
1. Youngest IGWP champion
The IGWP championship is owned by the famous Japanese promotion of New Japan Pro Wrestling(NJPW). Nakamura became the youngest individual to become the prestigious IGWP champion at the age of 23 years and 9 months. He defeated Hiroyoshi Tenzan to win the coveted championship.

Nakamura would remain as one of the shining lights of NJPW. As a part of the elite group ‘New Three Musketeers’ comprising of Hiroshi Tanahashi and Katsuyori Shibata, he captivated audiences like no one else. He would go on to become a three time NJPW champion. He was also popular with the moniker ‘ The Super Rookie’.
