Sachin Tendulkar hilariously responds to ICC’s tweet: Master Blaster saw the funny side of the comparison between him and Rohit Sharma.

During the 22nd match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and Pakistan at Old Trafford, India defeated Pakistan by 89 runs (DLS method) to continue their winning streak in the tournament.

India vice-captain and opening batsman Rohit Sharma was declared the ‘Man of the Match’ for scoring his 24th ODI century which propelled India to 336/5 in their allotted quota of 50 overs.

Among the 14 fours and three sixes hit by Sharma, one of them ended up in him facing comparisons with Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar. On the second delivery of the 27th over, Sharma hit a short and wide Hasan Ali delivery over deep point for a sublime six.

The shot reminded people of Tendulkar’s iconic six off Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003. Citing the same, ICC (International Cricket Council) took to their Twitter handle to post videos of both the sixes and asked their users to pick the better out of the two.

Replying to the same, Tendulkar posted an amusing reply with respect to both him and Sharma not just being Indian cricketers but belonging to Mumbai as well.
