Jon Moxley: Former WWE and Current NJPW U.S champion reveals why he stopped wrestling in Jeans. Says he felt naked at first without his jeans.

However, that hasn’t stopped him from being unpredictable. Moxley has been in the news for his surprising debut at AEW. He opened a can of worms during his interview with Chris Jericho where. Moxley then shocked the world once again by turning up for NJPW and winning their United States Championship before announcing that he would take part in their G1 Climax.
However, there was something very different about him when he wrestled Juice Robinson at the Best of Super Juniors finals. For his WWE fans, watching him wrestle in a pair of Jeans is a sight they’ve gotten used to. But the wrestler shocked everyone by turning up in wrestling shorts instead.
Wrestling without Jeans
In in his first official interview with NJPW, the unhinged superstar said:
“I wanted to change my look, for sure. When I was in WWE, I always wrestled in jeans, and there was a reason for that; everybody else had fancy tights and I wanted to be the opposite. More grungy, a street fighter type. But wrestling in jeans, honestly, it sucks. They’re hot, sweaty, hard to move in. I’m done with wrestling in jeans! It’s so much easier to wrestle in tights.

The change of look was not just shocking for the fans but for Moxley himself who confessed that he felt naked without them. However, he went ahead with it because he knew it would surprise the fans.
“When I looked in the mirror before I went out, I felt naked because I was so used to wrestling in jeans. So I knew then that it would cause a reaction, and be a bit of a shock.”
