The former WWE Superstar has made the news again after he beat Juice Robinson at the finals of the Best of the Super Juniors Tournament to capture the IWGP U.S Championship; on his NJPW debut. This is Moxley’s second appearance at a wrestling arena since leaving the WWE back in April this year. Last month he made a surprise appearance at AEW’s Double or Nothing after the main event to lay waste to Jericho and Omega. Tony Khan, AEW President, revealed that Moxley was allowed to take national and international dates until their weekly program launches in the fall.
Neither of the two dominated the match with both wrestlers getting enough time to shine. However, Moxley ended up victorious and ensured that his life after WWE started with a win.
Moxley was known as Dean Ambrose in the WWE; where he made his name and fame. He was part of ‘The Shield’. The most prolific faction the WWE has had in the last decade. Dean would go on to win the WWE Championship and also become a Grand Slam Champion in the company. However, creative differences over the portrayal of his character saw him walk out.
