WWE accidentally mentions AEW on Social Media during RAW. They deleted the gaffe soon after the realization but fans picked up on the mistake.

The WWE’s social media team posted a picture where they accidentally mentioned rivals AEW. The WWE makes it a point not to mention other wrestling promotions on their Television Programming.

They believe that would tantamount to free advertising. They would rather pretend the Wrestling industry begins and ends with them. Unless it fits their narrative though, such as Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura being IWGP champions in the past.

They did go against their protocol last month when they name dropped AEW on Raw. However, that was the first and last instance of such an occurrence as Vince reportedly found it silly.  The WWE have since gone back to pretending to be the only horse in the race. Or so we thought…

This week’s episode of Raw saw the debut of NXT Tag Team Champions ‘The Street Profits’. The wrestling giants posted a picture of them backstage immediately as it happened on TV. Unfortunately, they made quite a blunder with the caption.

The mistake wasn’t lost on Nick Jackson, one of their executive Vice presidents who put down the mistake to Auto-correct.

One can’t help but wonder how many times the employee searched for AEW for their phone to default to AEW. If it indeed is the case of Auto correct. Anyway it does leave the company with a bad look and they’ve deleted the post since.
