Aakash Chopra trolls Abdur Razzaq for his comments on Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli
Aakash Chopra trolls Abdur Razzaq for his comments on Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli, says he needs to grow up.
Abdur Razzaq has been making headlines left, right and centre in India, for his comments on Jasprit Bumrah not being a great bowler. The Pakistani all-rounder said that if he was playing, he would easily faced Bumrah, as he had faced the best bowlers in the world during his playing days.
Razzaq went as far as calling Bumrah a ‘baby bowler’, one that wouldn’t pose much threat to him. The comments were obviously not well received in India, as Bumrah has been one of the finds of this generation and is well on course to become one of the greatest ever fast bowlers.
“I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him,” Razzaq said.
While fans have been trolling Razzaq through and through since his bizarre comments, former Indian opener, Aakash Chopra too was seen commenting on it, tweeting about how Razzaq hasn’t really ‘grown up’ with age.
“Another fine example of the fact that growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. Well played. ” Aakash Chopra tweeted, quoting Razzaq’s comments on Bumrah.

In the same interview, Razzaq went to the extent of calling the current crop of players ordinary. He explained that the players from 1992-2007 were ‘world-class’ cricketers and that the current generation isn’t as good as them.
“If you speak to players from 1992 to 2007, they will tell you what cricket was. There were world-class players at that time. Now there are no longer world-class players. There is no depth in bowling, batting or fielding. It is all basic now,” Razzaq said in the same interview.
In the past too, Razzaq is known for his bizarre comments regarding the Indian team, especially when he claimed that Ahmed Shehzad was a better batsman than Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar.
