Watch: Rohit Sharma hits tennis forehand boundary in the 2nd ODI game against Australia at Rajkot as India vies to level the series.
India is facing Australia in the 2nd ODI of the series between the two sides. India is certainly looking ahead to level the series ahead of the last game in Bangalore as currently, Australia leads the series with the win at Wankhede Stadium.
India’s Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan marched to start the innings, both gave a decent start to India, with run constantly running on India’s scoreboard.
As the innings progressed, Rohit decided to accelerate his innings and started hitting boundaries. Amidst all his shots, he played one of the lethal shots which made everyone in awe of the skill presented by India’s vice-captain.
Kane Richardson came to deliver the 13th over of the game, in the second ball of his over he delivered a poor length ball, which Rohit obviously punished.
The explosive batsman came ahead from the crease and slapped the ball to the boundary while stepping out his crease. The shot was surely a visual treat as many started calling it as a ‘Tennis forehand’ shot.
Even BCCI released the footage to make the fans have a look at the shot, who missed to watch it on live television. However, things did not last long for Rohit.

In the 3rd ball of the next ball, Sharma became the victim of Adam Zampa, who dismissed him by LBW. Things got worse for India after Sharma took the DRS check, which upheld Zampa’s dismissal, hence India losing its sole review.
Rohit was just eight runs away from his half-century. After his exit, Virat Kohli came into bat, restoring his 3rd position in the order of the batting lineup.
