NBA Bubble: Kelly Oubre Jr to not take part in ‘NBA Disney World’ restart plan
Kelly Oubre Jr will not take part in the ‘NBA Disney Bubble restart’ in Orlando, owing to injury
Phoenix Suns forward Kelly Oubre Jr. is expected to miss the restart of the 2019-20 season while rehabbing his knee, The Athletic’s Shams Charania has reported.
Kelly Oubre Jr’s injury
Oubre tore his meniscus and underwent arthroscopic knee surgery back in March when the season was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak. He was expected to return once the season restarted but now Oubre has decided to play safe, keeping in mind the next season.

The Suns man, who now cannot showcase his skills on the court is still planning to travel to the Walt Disney World to support his teammates. Suns are amongst the lowest-seeded teams as they will be staying in the Yacht Club and have an uphill task of making it to the playoffs . This could also be the reason why that Kelly Oubre Jr decided to go in for the surgery and rehabilitate properly, as the Suns did not have a realistic chance of going deep into the playoffs.
NBA Disney Bubble restart for the Phoenix Suns
Phoenix Suns with (26-39) record are six games behind the no. 8 seed team Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference. They probably will need a miracle to qualify for the playoffs.
The odds for the Phoenix Suns to make the end of the season games were truly thin, presently they have gotten slimmer, as they won’t have Oubre in the season restart in Orlando.
