NFL Injury News : New Orleans Saints Andrus Peat out with hand injury
New Orleans Saints Andrus peat recently suffered a hand injury making his return unclear without any confirmation of any sort.
According to the Associated Press, Peat who missed six games last season after suffering a fractured forearm, was absent from practice on monday and New Orleans has not discussed his status to this point. The 26 year old his entering his sixth season in the NFL, all with the saints and is playing his first season inking a five-year, $57.5 million contract extension with New Orleans back in march.
Andrus Peat has a hand injury, per source. Specifics are unclear. Working to clear the timeline up. Nick Easton worked at left guard during practice yesterday. Still a good amount of time before the season starts. Peat being in good shape helps.

New Orleans Saints will be without left guard Andrus Peat while he manages a hand injury during training camp, per multiple reports. News of Peat’s injury was first reported by Brett Martel for the Associated Press, and confirmed by Nick Underhill of New Orleans Football.
Peat has also been named in the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons. Even after suffering a forearm fracture in 2019, Peat returned to the field for the regular season finale along with New Orleans lone playoff contest.
On September 13 the saints will open their 2020 season against Tampa Bay Buccaneers and if Peat is not in playing condition, New Orleans will could move first-round rookie lineman Cesar Ruiz, who is primed to start right guard, over to the left side and possibly check in on old friend Larry Warford.
