Sebastian Vettel Manager: Why the Ferrari driver is not bready to hire a manager for his contract negotiations despite being at the top.
Sebastian Vettel in his long career in Formula 1 has never had a manager and the German driver seems to be fine without the services of one. Before 2014, when he was with Red Bull, the management of that team looked after Vettel’s affairs.
Since his departure, he never had such arrangement and is now fine handling his affairs alone. “That’s a good question,” Vettel reacted when asked by Sky Germany consultant Ralf Schumacher why he dispensed with the services of a manager.
“Maybe it helps here and there, but I think this is the way I have always done it. I don’t want to say I’ve been alone in that respect, of course you have people who assist you.
“But I think what is more important than public opinion is that you know which people you can trust and which people you can build on.” he further said.
While Vettel conducts his own contract negotiations, he relies on the faithful Britta Roeske for all his PR and media work.
“I think I have a good environment and I’m still very positive,” added the 33-year-old. “I never was influenced by what the external perception is or what people think or say. Thank God that has never been so important to me.
“I don’t follow everything but of course when things don’t work, I am the first person who is annoyed by it the most and I am the first one who is interested in turning the tables.”
Sebastia Vettel will complete the season
In between there were rumours that Vettel might see an early departure from Ferrari. But Vettel shrugged those suggestions and said there have been no such talks with Ferrari.
However, these rumours stemmed from the recent hostility between Ferrari and Vettel, as there were observations, where Charles Leclerc was spotted to be favoured by the team in front of Vettel.
