Tennessee Titans Receive 0 Positive COVID-19 Tests, Will Reopen Facility Tomorrow
Things are starting to look a lot better in Nashville. For the second straight day, the Tennessee Titans have had zero players test positive for COVID-19.
After their week 4 win over the Vikings, the Titans ran into some serious trouble. A total of 20 staff and players tested positive for coronavirus, prompting the league to postpone their game against Pittsburgh.
However, it appears the Titans can get back on track with their undefeated season. They received all negative tests for a second time, so their facility is set to reopen tomorrow.

Goodell Issues Stricter COVID Protocols After Tennessee Titans Positive Tests
Following the situation in Nashville, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sent a scathing memo to all 32 teams. The memo, which was 2 pages long, says that violations affecting the schedule may result in docked draft picks or forfeits.
It also detailed a list of new rules, including the following.
- Longer onboarding process for free agent tryouts
- Limitations on number of weekly tryouts
- Bans on gatherings outside team facilities
- New video monitoring process to ensure teams’ compliance with rules
Here is a snippet from the memo:
“Protocol violations that result in virus spread requiring adjustments to the schedule or otherwise impacting other teams will result in additional financial and competitive discipline, including the adjustment or loss of draft choices or even the forfeit of a game.”
“Simply put, compliance is mandatory. Now is the time to recommit ourselves to our protocols and best practices for the duration of the season.”
