“Which Western Conference teams want me?”: Nets’ Spencer Dinwiddie hilariously puts Lakers and co. on alert
Spencer Dinwiddie responds to tweet saying multiple West teams want him; hints towards wanting to leave the Brooklyn Nets.
The Brooklyn Nets are quite the wildcards for the 2020-21 NBA season. Their season depends on whether Kevin Durant can be 100% after coming back from an Achilles tear.
Along with KD, the Nets are fortunate enough to have a plethora of competent star guards. This includes the likes of Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, and the perplexing Kyrie Irving.
Caris LeVert has been included in trade scenarios involving Bradley Beal and Jrue Holiday. Spencer Dinwiddie has been very quite vocal about potential destinations for himself this coming season. He started a GoFundMe in May 2020 to tell fans decide where he should pay next. Instead of raising the target goal of $24 million, he reached only a couple thousand dollars.

It was reported earlier by ESPN’s Brian Windhorst that the Nets were open to trading Spencer Dinwiddie. Now, sources claim that multiple Western Conferences teams are inquiring about the Nets guard.
With Lakers and Clippers looking to add another star to their roster, Twitterati believed a blockbuster trade could be on the cards. However, all those rumors came crashing down after one tweet from the Nets tar
Dinwiddie caught wind of this and almost immediately took to Twitter to respond. He asked, “Which ones!? Put an address on em lol I wanna know just like everyone else.”

The 27 year old signed a 3 year/$34 million deal prior to the 2019-20 season, with a player option in 2021. With the Nets committing a large chunk of their cap to KD and Kyrie, it might not be feasible for the Nets to retain Spencer next offseason.
How did Spencer Dinwiddie perform in in the 2019-20 season?
With Kyrie missing games, Spencer was a lead ball handler for the Nets. During his 49 regular season games, he averaged 20.6 points and 6.8 assists per game.
Though he did this with terrible efficiency, he did show flashes of being a championship caliber point guard off the bench.
